Job Description

Our customers are our business. This position requires a care focused dynamic, goal-oriented person to develop and foster relationships in their assigned territory within the wireless infrastructure market. Communication, collaboration and core values are the building blocks to our success. The Regional Sales Manager Telecom will implement, and drive relationship centric sales strategies and action plans to penetrate assigned targets to meet or exceed company goals and objectives (including sales, profitability and product portfolio management). The position requires occasional domestic travel for the determined focus area.

The Regional Sales Manager Telecom position empowers independent discretion with expectations to prepare, implement and execute strategies for their designated territory.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strong trust-based relationships with territory accounts
  • Monitor and follow up on quote activity to achieve conversion rate KPIs
  • Achieve key financial KPI’s in the assigned territory
  • Strategically enhance and support the territory sales representatives and distributors
  • Openly cooperate and collaborate with Telecom Team Members, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations as well as Lighting Regional Account Managers
  • Provide feedback to technical sales engineering to identify, develop and specify products
  • Coordinate and collaborate with end users, Agents/Representatives, Engineers, and others defined to write or enforce a specification
  • Assist in the alignment of products, services, and operations to deliver on customer requirements and challenges
  • Present a level of technical understanding and aptitude of product lines
  • Complete regular and details sales reports as directed and required
  • Maintain CRM records and activities

  • Maintains and grows effective relationships with customers based upon trust.
  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers
  • Keeps customers and sales channels well trained on products and solutions
  • Ability to conduct and close win-win solution-oriented negotiations

Business Acumen

  • Understands financial calculations (cost, margins, commissions etc.)
  • Aptitude to understand the small cell and smart infrastructure market drivers
  • Understands how to develop and implement strategies and tactics that work in the local and national marketplace
  • Key problem solving and solution-based analyst skills

Organizational Agility

  • Ability to persevere to get things done with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of previous high-level sales experience with proven results
  • Wireless industry or similar technical industry experience and knowledge highly preferred
  • Small Cell equipment configurations and implementation knowledge preferred.
  • Experienced in selling at all levels

Other Qualifications

  • Competent at using CRM software or equivalent
  • Having excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute under minimal supervision
  • Passionate collaborator who seeks outcome where everybody wins while adhering to core values
  • Possesses the work ethic and drive to strive for new challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Capable of technically understanding NOV’s portfolio of products and services to align them to the sales strategy
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
